The Halls of Knorr were once a place of learning and discovery. Asheron, as Lord Master of Knorr, oversaw the explorations to other worlds and guided the scholarship within. Despite Asheron's objections after the death of his prodigy, Emperor Kellin forced further expeditions to a treacherous world, one teeming with monstrous creatures. These olthoi were then brought back to the Lyceum for study. Alas, Asheron's misgivings were not unfounded. As political forces warred overhead, the captured behemoth overran the Halls of Knorr below, and a plague of Olthoi was loosed upon the land.
Before the fall of Knorr, Lord Asheron, fearing a coming of Darkness, established a secret Order of Perfect Light. Progressing through trials of purity, adepts who advanced beyond the ranks of Defender of the Light and then Initiate were able to alter the armor of the Hieromancer with an orb that radiates pure light. Although the Olthoi still terrorize the corridors of the Lyceum, Asheron's texts, and the forge to fashion the armor still reside within the Halls of Knorr ready for intrepid adventurers to become once more Champions of the Light.
Note: [glow=red,2,300]You must first complete the Hieromancer's Armor quest[/glow] if you wish to upgrade it by imbuing it with the orbs.

Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student tells you, "I am sorry but your life would be over too quickly if you went where I would send you."
The Trials
Once you use the gem, you'll be in a small staging room guarded by a Golem. To reach the Seat of Knorr, you must first answer a series of three riddles put to you by Diamond Guardian Golems. The answers will be one of the objects lying on the floor of a nearby alcove. Pick up the item and hand it to the Golem to be teleported to the next section. Once you've answered all three riddles correctly, you will find yourself at the Seat of Knorr. If you hand the Golem the wrong item, you will be portaled back to Stonehold!
You have been teleported.
The Golem speaks in old Yalain, a language foreign and strange, but as it speaks you gain comprehension of it's words.
Diamond Guardian tells you, "A moth ate a word. To me it seemed, a piteous thing when I learned the wonder that a worm had swallowed, in darkness stolen, the song of Empyrean, our glorious sayings, A great Empyrean's strength; and the thieving guest, who was no whit the wiser for the words it ate."

The Seat of Knorr
When you arrive at the Seat of Knorr, speak to the Golem Arikas, the Warden of Knorr. Arikas determines which areas are safe enough to access via portal devices called conveyances.
Arikas, Warden of Knorr tells you, "Asheron did not specify that students would be arriving at the Lyceum. However since you are here I will explain transportation within this place."
Arikas, Warden of Knorr tells you, "Lord Master Asheron has establish a network of devices through his knowledge of Planar magic, that will ease your movement through the Lyceum construct."
Arikas, Warden of Knorr tells you, "I will determine the level of safety of the different areas and allow you to pass through the Planar tunnels provided that the presence of entities catalogued as, Olthoi, are small enough to allow for survival in said areas."
Asheron's Quarters
In addition to the Hieromancer's Armor upgrade, you can also recover a Mace, a UA weapon and a Helm from inside the Halls of Knorr. These items are found in chests in a different area of the Lyceum. You will first need to get three keys from Asheron's Study to open the chests.
From the Seat of Knorr, head north past Arikas. In this section, you'll be fighting Acidic Diamond Golems. Take your first left, and continue up past the Golems. You'll come to a room with tables and chairs. Head east past the banquet area (a long table with bottles and plates set out), then head north up a ramp.
Asheron's Study is behind a locked door on the North wall (Resistance 402). Once inside get the three keys from the table to your left. This room also contains numerous pieces of lore. You can collect 8 texts from a table, and a letter from the bookshelf. (Jump on top the tables to make it easier to pick up the texts and keys).
You pull a book from the shelves of the bookcase. As you do so you notice a small collection of papers fall from within the pages.
Bookshelf gives you Well Drawn Letter.
After the quest, you can return one of the texts to Olcris for a refund of your initial M note. If you want to keep copies of all the lore, take a 2nd copy of one of the text/letter to give to Olcris.
Once you have the keys and texts, return to the Seat of Knorr.
Barracks
The Barracks holds the Crescent Moons (UA weapon) and the Scepter of Thunderous Might (Mace weapon). In a separate section of the Barracks, you can find the Helm of Knorr. From the Seat of Knorr take the east hall and step on the platform labeled Barracks Conveyance. Inside you'll be fighting numerous Olthoi: Olthoi Swarm Soldiers (Level 95), Nobles (105), Eviscerators (110) and Guardians (115). Buff will all Life protections and bane for Piercing and Acid.
This area has been deemed passable by Arikas, Warden of the Seat of Knorr.
Conveyance shall commence instantly. Be warned there are dangers from the life forms catalogued Olthoi within this section of the Lyceum.
From the entrance head north and make your first left. Fight the Swarm Eviscerators and go east over the catwalk. Head up the ramp, then go through the room filled with mushrooms. On the other side, pull the lever (torch) and go through the door. Take a left heading south, then go up. You'll pass through an auditorium with purple sacs, and you'll head up again to a room with two chests. Use the Key to the Senitnel's Cache on the Sentinel's Chest for the Scepter, and the Key to the Elder's Cache on the Elder's Chest for the Crescent Moons. (Respawn approx 30 seconds). The two weapons may be given.
To reach the Helm room, head back to the egg sac room, then head east to the mushroom area. At the end of the catwalk go north. Follow it around to the NW and down a small ramp. The helm is in the first room on the left behind a locked door (resistance 124). Use the Key to the Defender Cache on the Chest of the Defender to retrieve the Helm of Knorr. You'll also find a Moldy Tome on a table. Have this translated in Cragstone to hear the tale of the Defenders last stand. The Helm of Knorr may not be given.
Head back to the barracks drop point and take one of the Conveyances back to the Seat of Knorr
Research Chambers
The Research Chambers contain the three Orbs on Infusion: blue, green and red. If you plan to upgrade your armor and helm, you will need four orbs in the color of your choice, one for each piece. If you only want to imbue your helm, you will just need one orb. Again you'll be fighting large groups of swarming Olthoi.
From the Seat of Knorr, take the Research Chambers Conveyance. Head north from the entrance and make a left heading down the hall. Make a right at the T and head down another hall. Take the ramp down into the room with the Blue Orb. Once everyone who needs them has their orbs, head east into the the 2nd room with the Green Orb. From the green room take the passage in the NE corner (not the green olthoi tunnel) to reach the Red Orb Room. From the Red Room, take the east passage back, heading west at the bookshelf, then south to the Seat of Knorr.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can take the Olthoi tunnel from the green room to the olthoi caverns. Jump into the acid pit, take the passage to the south, and you'll arrive at a secret Olthoi breeding ground, similar to the Royal Hive on Marae Lassel. A dozen or so Olthoi Swarm Guardians respawn approximately every 30 seconds. Head up the ramp and and and you'll reach a room with a secret passage behind a bookcase (open with lever) which takes your right back to the Seat of Knorr!
Forge
The final section contains the forge where you can upgrade your armor and helm. From the Seat of Knorr take the Forge Conveyance. Head South from the entrance, then take the passage on the right at the 3 way split heading SW (the dungeon is symmetrical; you could also take the left passage). Go through a gated door, fighting past the Olthoi Swarm Guardians, then south down the ramp. Again go through a gated door, then take an immediate left heading east. Kill as many Olthoi through the door as possible before heading in to the forge room.
Use the Orbs on the armor to Imbue them. Once the armor is imbued, it is no longer wearable until it is forged. If you are wearing the armor you want to upgrade, DO NOT use the orb until you are standing at the forge and are guarded by your friends. Otherwise, you'll be fighting Olthoi in your underwear!
You affix the orb to the helm.
Next, use the armor on the forge (double click - do not give the armor to the forge!) to upgrade it! It's best to bring a group on this part of the quest. The Olthoi are on a fast respawn and you must be in peace mode to use the forge.
Exarch Armor (war specialized) will be upgraded into Auroric Exarch Armor. This armor needs a base War Magic skill of 315+ to wield.
Thaumaturgic Armor (war trained) will be upgraded into Luminescent Thaumaturgic Armor. This armor needs a base War Magic skill of 285+ to wield.
Upgrading the Helm of Knorr will give you either the Auroric Helm of Knorr (+10 to Life Magic, base Life Magic 315+ to wield) or the Luminescent Helm of Knorr (+5 to Life Magic - Life Magic 285+ to wield). There is a skill check for using the orb with the helm which determines which you will receive.
If you don't have Life Trained or Specialized, you will not be able to upgrade the helm.
You are not trained in this trade skill.
Note: The helm starts at base AL 250, buffable, with Maiden's Kiss (+30 hp). After kindling, it becomes unenchantable and it loses the Maiden's Kiss spell, although it gains spells similar to the Hieromancer's Armor. If you don't have a high enough Life Magic skill to wield the helm, you may decide to choose not to imbue it.
From Bivitar Hawkins of MT:
Auroric Runic Helm cast Mark of the Priestess on you, surpassing Minor Creature Enchantment Aptitude
The helm is also currently bugged. The helm actually is a life cantrip, but it is checking for critter cantrips. This is why it is allowing you to stack with other life cantrips. I expect this to be fixed next month.
Seat of Knorr Portal Gem
Once you've used the forge you can return to Olcris in Stonehold and receive a refund of your M note, plus get a new portal gem directly to the Seat of Knorr, allowing you to bypass the riddles.

You may also give Olcris an MMD note for a portal gem directly to the Seat of Knorr. You can get a new gem from Olcris for an MMD note as long as you make sure you talk to Arikas, the Warden at the Seat of Knorr each time you use a portal gem.
Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student tells you, "I see that you have reached the Seat of Knorr. If you pay me an MMD note I'll weave up a gem that will take you back to that very spot. Just make sure to speak to the golem there, if you want to back there quick again."
You give Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student Trade Note (250,000).
Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student tells you, "Speak to the Golem again and maybe I'll be able to craft another one of these for you.

Give Olcris any of the texts from the quest for the M note. If you try to give him more than one, he will keep the text and scold you for trying to cheat him!
You give Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student Well Drawn Letter.
Olcris, Nuhmudira's Student tells you, "Ah, good work. Nuhmudira will be pleased that you held up your end of the bargain. Now let me take care of my end."
